Dedicated garden enthusiasts prepared to share knowledge and develop a study group on cottage gardening in southeast Queensland by meeting with each other in fellowship.

The Perennial Poppies Group Inc grew out of a gathering of like-minded folk at Buderim in November 2000 to discuss cottage gardening. The structure of the group today reflects not only the intent of that initial gathering but also its process – people with a serious interest in plants who meet in private gardens for study and discussion.

Full Membership of the Group is limited to a number which allows members to meet in one another’s private gardens every two months. These gatherings feature a Plant of the Day, guest speakers, plant sales and discussion groups.

Journal or Associate Membership is open to anyone and these members receive a copy of each bi-monthly informative journal and are able to participate in Garden Rambles, Come & Share Days, the Christmas Lunch and special lectures and workshops.

Come & Share Days are held in three regional areas on alternate months to encourage all members to visit others’ gardens. It costs nothing. BYO everything!
